A man and a woman have been charged with taking thousands of dollars worth of perfumes and other products from a Burbank beauty salon, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office announced today.

Giovanni Antonio LopezValencia (dob 3/26/91) and Mariel Natalie Miranda Guerra (dob 10/15/84), both of Reseda, were charged with one felony count each of second-degree commercial burglary and grand theft. Both defendants pleaded not guilty yesterday afternoon.

A preliminary hearing setting is scheduled for May 16 in Department 1 of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Burbank Branch. Case GA103448 was filed on May 7.

The two defendants allegedly broke a window at Ulta Beauty on May 6 and stole merchandise, prosecutors said. Police tracked the couple down and arrested them in Canoga Park, prosecutors added.

LopezValencia and Miranda Guerra each face up to three years in jail if convicted as charged.

The case remains under investigation by the Burbank Police Department.
