A 33-year-old man pleaded no contest today to raping two elderly women on separate occasions, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office announced.

Danilo Arturo Gonzalez entered his plea to two counts of forcible rape as well as two counts of assault by means of force likely to cause great bodily injury. He is scheduled to be sentenced to 50 years to life in state prison on Aug. 30 in Department F of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, San Fernando Branch.

Deputy District Attorney Elena Abramson of the Elder Abuse Section is prosecuting the case.

In May 2016, Gonzalez broke into a senior living center in Northridge during the night and raped an 89-year-old woman. A caretaker came to the victim's aid and called 911.

In September 2015, Gonzalez entered a Northridge house and startled a 71-year-old woman who had just returned home. He dragged the woman to a bedroom where he raped her.

Gonzalez also was convicted of attacking a woman in her 80s in July 2015 and a 91-year-old man in October 2015.
