A federal judge sentenced Mike Barry Brior, 43, who worked at the Orange Unified School District for 18 years to 72 months in federal prison for distributing child pornography, specifically sending image and video files of explicit sexual conduct involving young children via the Kik instant messaging application. Brior pleaded guilty to one count of distribution of child pornography. Brior sent at least 10 video files to two message groups in less than three weeks in 2018, and prosecutors think he uploaded some of them while he was at school during work hours.

After he gets out of prison, Brior will be on supervised release for 20 years and he must register as a sex offender. Brior also has to pay $12,000 in restitution to the victims.
