Man Convicted of Fatal Shooting of Two Brothers at an East Los Angeles Park

A Bell Gardens man was found guilty today of killing two brothers in 2015, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office announced.

Deputy District Attorney Miriam Avalos said Pedro Vasquez, 24, was found guilty by a jury of two counts of second-degree murder.

The jury also found true that a handgun was used in the killings.

Sentencing for case BA445527 is scheduled for Nov. 8 in Dept. 128 of the Foltz Criminal Justice Center.

On Nov. 22, 2015, Vasquez approached Antonio Aguilar, 33, and Juan Aguilar, 28, at Ruben Salazar Park in East Los Angeles and opened fire on them. Both victims suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

The case was investigated by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department
