A 22-year-old man was charged today with making bomb threats to a television station, causing the studio's evacuation, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office announced.

Tyler Raj Barriss (dob 11/9/92) of Glendale faces two felony counts of false report of bomb to agency or business and one felony count of criminal threats.

Case GA097330 includes one misdemeanor count of dissuading a witness from reporting a crime.

Bariss pleaded not guilty to the charges today and is scheduled to return on Oct. 27 for a preliminary hearing in Department 1 of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Burbank Branch.

According to the criminal complaint, the bomb threats were made on Sept. 30 and Oct. 9, prosecutors said. Barriss then allegedly threatened a relative to prevent her from reporting the threats, prosecutors added.

Bail was set at $1 million. The defendant faces a possible maximum sentence of four years and four months if convicted as charged.

The case remains under investigation by the Glendale Police Department.
