Did the Man Sell ‘Ghost Guns’ Out of His Hookah Lounge?

          The feds charged Hovik Dagesian, 39, with illegally selling firearms – including several “ghost guns” – out of his downtown Los Angeles business,  DTLA Hookah Lounge, four times between October 30, 2020 and January 8, 2021, Dagesian illegally sold 10 firearms, including an AR-15-style short-barreled rifle with no serial number..   Dagesian had no federal firearms license and nor any firearms registered to him. Dagesian allegedly sold other AR-15-style ghost guns – firearms that are made from component parts and do not have serial numbers – as well as a semiautomatic shotgun, a Tec-DC9 pistol and a vintage “Tommy Gun.”

          A complaint contains allegations that a defendant has committed a crime. Every defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
