Three men convicted of multiple felonies from a crime spree in 2012 were sentenced yesterday to life in state prison, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Deputy District Attorney Carol Rose, who prosecuted the case, said Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Tomson T. Ong sentenced Jarrod Williams, 30, to six life sentences in prison, plus 27 years.

The defendant was convicted by a jury on Sept. 22 of 14 counts of robbery, six counts of kidnapping for robbery, two counts of kidnapping and two counts of false imprisonment in case BA414878.

Williams’ codefendant, James Wilson, 32, was sentenced yesterday to four life terms in prison, plus 20 years and four months. He was found guilty by the same jury of nine counts of robbery, four counts of kidnapping for robbery, two counts of kidnapping and one count of false imprisonment.

Wilson’s twin brother and codefendant, Jonathan Wilson, 32, was sentenced to life in prison, plus 13 years and eight months. He was convicted of four counts of robbery, two counts kidnapping and one count of kidnapping for robbery.

The fourth codefendant, Alphonso Williams, 31, was sentenced on Oct. 16 to life in state prison, plus 39 years. The defendant was found guilty of nine counts of robbery, six counts of false imprisonment and one count of kidnapping for robbery.

Judge Ong also ordered each defendant to pay $140,000 in restitution.

The prosecutor said the four men began a 5-month crime spree on April 24, 2012. The crimes were spread throughout three counties and involved 14 different robberies.

While masked and gloved, the defendants would enter Radio Shacks and other wireless stores, force employees to a back room and then rob the stores. Stolen items included: iPhones, iPads and other electronics worth tens of thousands of dollars.

James Wilson, Jonathan Wilson and Alphonso Williams were apprehended by police on July 31, 2012.  Jarrod Williams was arrested during the last robbery on Sept. 13, 2012.

The case was investigated by the Corona, Fontana, Long Beach, Los Angeles, West Covina and Torrance police departments, as well as the Los Angeles County and Riverside County Sheriff’s Departments.
